Values statement
• Our franchisees share a risk management ethic focused on the "due care" tests applied by courts and coronial enquiries
(focused on the key issues of "what should you have known and done about risks and their management?"); and
• As trusted advisers, our methods are about empowering clients - in order to build their capacity and resilience.
Professionals with an aligned view are invited to join our international network, sharing our resources, and helping clients and communities to become more resilient.

Element 1. PROMOTIONAL / INFORMATIVE: A Hosted Web Presence - A platform within a highly ranked website, promoting your business globally.
A listing, by name and region, on the EPCB "About Us" page. This listing is hyperlinked to your dedicated, EPCB hosted web page. Your EPCB hosted web page is customized to include information you provide - specifically, an image (usually a "head and shoulders" photograph), around 300 to 500 words about your experience and your specific consulting service specialities; and contact information comprised of a nominated person, telephone contact and an email hyperlink.

Element 2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: Robust Methodologies and Quality Knowledge-based Resources.
The EPCB Affiliate Resources Kit, accessed via the internet, provides building blocks - including our Buttress® Consulting Module - which you can tailor to meet the needs of your clients; Power Point Presentations which support workshops, exercises and training aligned with EPCB's approach to business continuity & emergency planning; and exclusive access to other resources (links and downloads) from a password protected area of this site. This access is made available when business using EPCB approaches is generated. Full access is only granted upon payment of the annual franhise fee (as distinct from the administration fee which establishes your web presence and promotional rights).
EPCB's Buttress® consulting module and supporting software provides a "capacity building system" which aligns with the EPCB approach of integrating Business Continuity - especially Business Impact Assessment and Risk Assessment with Crisis Management Planning. At the core of the approach is the management principle "good decisions are based on good information and good communication". This methodology has been validated with both government and mulit-national private sector clients. (Promoted on the internationally respected portal "Continuity Central", January 2010). Where the franchisee sells Buttress® to a client, the head office receives a 20% commission on the sale.

Rights to display and use the EPCB logo
You may use the "perched precariously on the cliff" logo on your promotional, training and other materials (including consulting proposals). This logo was commissioned from Rob Pudim, a well known artist in disaster management circles, Rob has been the dedicated cartoonist of the Natural Hazards Observer for many years. The logo illustrates risk as a function of hazard, vulnerability and exposure.
You cannot resell the image “as-is”, or in any configuration where the image itself becomes the main selling point. Examples of unacceptable usage would be T-Shirts and coffee mugs etc. - where the intention is to sell such products.
Referrals
Leads received through the head office will be forwarded to the best placed affiliate.
The best placed affiliate will be a head office decision based on client needs, provider proximity and best service fit.
Element 3. PARTNERSHIPS: Joint venture opportunities.
This aspect of our network is negotiated on a case-by-case basis to address your requirements for on-the-ground resources, collaborative teaming, or mentoring advice (remote or on-site).
NB While EPCB Affiliates demonstrate alignment with EPCB approaches, they maintain their independence as individual consultants.
This independence includes responsibility for their own performance and coverage of their liabilities (through for example, professional indemnity insurances)
