Buttress® Consulting Module

The Buttress® Consulting Module delivers enhanced business continuity and crisis management capability to clients.

What differentiates Buttress® from other business continuity and crisis management products is that it will support you to understand your risks, evaluate your exposures, and take action to:

(a) mitigate your vulnerabilty before an incident - and

(b) manage the consequences after an incident.

The module includes a Business Impact Assessment (BIA) element which will map your critical activities as specified in the International Business Continuity Standard BS 25999. The module will then profile resources against each activity - across the assets, people, skills, information (electronic / non electronic), technology (including plant and equipment), premises and supplies which underpin your critical activities; and identify the risks inherent across your resource profile.

To ensure sound information is used to support good decisions, the BIA element in the module is then linked to a crisis management template which includes a reporting capability for the impact of any event on the resource profiles mapped in the Business Impact Assessment element of the module.

Buttress® analysis and reporting capabilities address the need to report on the status of risks being addressed both before an event and after impact. The software used to generate these reports is provided to the client as a supporting record and a resource which can be updated to generate future reports. This approach has been validated by clients in both the public and private sectors.
